Recapping the 2026 Victory Gala

On June 6, our 9th Annual Victory Gala presented by Central Ontario Building Trades brought together supporters, partners, alumni, students, and community leaders for an unforgettable evening of celebration, connection, and impact.

Hosted in support of our mission to empower young people through education, mentorship, and career opportunities, the evening celebrated what can happen when a community comes together to invest in the next generation.

The excitement reached another level with special guest Hall of Fame boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, whose presence inspired guests throughout the evening. As the fights began, the room came alive, cheering on every participant who stepped into the ring in support of our youth.

Among this year's fighters was one of our own PinballNEXT Ambassadors, Latrell Ellis, whose willingness to take on the challenge embodied the resilience that defines our community. As a Central Ontario Building Trades Hammer Heads Program alumnus now thriving in his career as a Steam Fitter with UA Local 46, the Victory Gala exists to create more success stories like this.

The evening also marked a historic milestone for the Victory Gala. Fighter Alex Petricca set a new fundraising record, raising more than $42,000 in support of The Pinball Foundation. Every dollar raised through this event helps create opportunities for young people by funding mentorship, career training, scholarships, and programs that help them build brighter futures.

While the boxing matches provided plenty of excitement, the true victory was the collective impact made possible by everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored, and cheered from the sidelines. Your generosity helps ensure that more young people have access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.
