Announcing a new scholarship opportunity for students in northwest Toronto
There is a new bursary that is available for students living in northwest Toronto within the boundaries of the Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.
The Pinball Clemons Foundation has partnered with Mosaic Transit Group to provide bursaries to youth living in Jane-Finch, Rexdale, and Black Creek communities.
Mosaic Transit Group is a joint venture company selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to design, build, finance, and maintain the 11-kilometre Finch West LRT project. Mosaic Transit Group is consortium of ACS, Aecon, and CRH.
The Mosaic Transit Group bursary will help cover tuition, books, and mentorship for two students and the Foundation will match this gift. Awarded candidates are selected by the Pinball Clemons Foundation following an application process and a signed contract from student outlining their commitment to the program and their overall success.
“Mosaic Transit Group is excited to partner with the Pinball Clemons Foundation to offer financial and mentoring support to youth facing economic hardships along the Finch West LRT corridor,” says Miguel Merino, CEO, Mosaic Transit Group. “Our partnership will support students from the community to pursuit advanced education and help boost their personal development.”
The bursary is intended to provide financial support to students enrolled full-time in a college or university level program and residing in one the neighbourhoods along the Finch West LRT corridor, such as Jane-Finch, Rexdale, or Black Creek. In addition to these bursaries, the selected students will join the customized mentorship program implemented by the Pinball Clemons Foundation.
The ultimate goal for these students is not a diploma or degree – we want to see youth successfully enter the workforce, gainfully employed in careers they desire. To learn more about the "What We Do", please click here
