So far, I feel that the opportunity to be supported along with other students and fully strive and establish our future careers, has been a blast. I honestly think this is one of the best things that has occurred to me as I feel like I am not in my post-secondary career alone. Mentors actually guide me through life without hesitation and truly mean to see me takeoff with my goals.

⁠Any comments you would like to share about being matched with the Black Legend that your September 2023 Bursary was named after.

I just feel grateful that I have been accepted to be apart of this bursary program. I will continue to strive to be my own black legend and never give up because I know where my potential peaks, and it never will.

2023 Academic/Personal Highlight

I was able to finish my course with a 3.4GPA while balancing being on a varsity basketball team
