The M2M bursary has been crucial in allowing me to go to university without going into debt. Previously, before winning the bursary I had been worried as to how I would be able to pay for post-secondary education. Thanks to the M2M Bursary program that worry has been lifted.

⁠Any comments you would like to share about being matched with the Black Legend that your September 2023 Bursary was named after.

I am honored to have my certificate named after Mark Beckles. Mr. Beckles is someone who continuously strived to make his community and city better to the extent of winning the City of Toronto Bob Marley Award in 2011. I to strive to build my community up and hope to be a foundational pillar of my community like Mr. Beckles one day.

2023 Academic/Personal Highlight

My Academic highlight of the 2023/2024 year was competing on the JDC West team in Edmonton Alberta as a member of the debate team.
